Thanks for the welcome! Actually, I've been moving in a digital direction lately myself. I enjoy the flexibility and especially love creating hybrid pages. I'll create an "almost" complete digital page, then print it out and add journaling, a title, and few extra embellishments to finish it off. It's one of my new favorite techniques!

Though I have been doing some all-digital as well, lately. In fact, if you watch my blog regularly, you'll see some exciting news in that area, hopefully by the end of the month...but I have to keep my lips sealed for now!

Do you print it out on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet and add it to a 12x12 or do you have a printer that will print 12x12?

I print on 8.5x11 photo paper. I'd love to have a 12x12 printer, but it's not an expense I can justify at this time. Typically I've just been making these layouts 8.5x11, which works great.

I scrap in all sizes and then store the layouts together in 12x12 3-ring binders. I don't mind that all the pages aren't the same size, I think it adds to the fun of my albums. And I just can't stand to only work in one size - the sky is the limit!

Here's a sample of one of the pages I was talking about:

(I just uploaded it for you!) The base is a digital quickpage. Then I added alpha stickers and chipboard, handwritten journaling, the chipboard "K" in the corner, and flower embroidered patches.

Thanks! I had fun with it. It's one of the very first ones I did this way, but still a favorite. I think it adds a whole new look to "paper" scrapbooking. I love combining the two methods.

What a fun page, I like that if you are putting it in a 12x12 binder you can have the 8.5 x 11 page be in landscape format without having to turn the whole binder around to look at it right way up Smiley

Exactly. I just use 8.5x11 landscape page protectors by EK Success. I have to punch an extra hole to get them to fit "right" but it works perfectly and all of my layouts are still together, regardless of size.

I love hybrid scrapping, but I usually print off digital elements like journaling cards or flowers and then add them to my paper layouts.

I do this, too, and it's a great idea! Especially with journaling cards, because then you can't "run out" of them and you have an extra if you mess up. I'll be honest and say I'm addicted to journaling cards! I really don't know how I ever scrapped without them!
