Merrilee's November/December Build-a-Layout Challenge-Steps 8,9 & 10 Posted

With the holiday season approaching and everyone so busy, you'll have 2 months for this challenge. But for those of you that still want to get 2 layouts done, I'll give you 2 choices for each step. If you choose the 1st choice for each step, you'll end up with a monochromatic layout and if you choose the 2nd choice, you'll end up with a Christmas layout. If you mix them up, you could get a very interesting layout.

Step 1 : Choose a solid colour cardstock for your base. (Cannot be a neutral colour like black, white, brown or cream)
                                               or

             Choose a solid colour cardstock for your base in a Christmas colour. (ie: red, green, silver, gold)

Step 2 : Choose 2 PP in the same colour as your cardstock. (Can be any shade as long it is the same basic colour)
                                               or

             Choose 1 Christmas themed PP.

Step 3 : Cut 1 PP in a square and one in a rectangle and layer them over your cardstock.

                                               or

             Cut your pp in a large circle and layer it over your cardstock.

Step 4 : Choose 2 - 3 pictures 4x6 or smaller

                                               or

             Choose 1 - 5x7 picture.

Step 5 : Mat a minimum of 1 picture. (Mat must be in the same colour family as your original cardstock.)

                                               or

            Do a double mat for your picture.

Step 6 : Layer pictures over PP.

                                              or

            Layer picture over circle PP leaving enough of the curve exposed to add your title to later.

Step 7 : Pick a ribbon in the same colour as your cardstock (can be any shade) and form it into a shape before you add it to your layout. ie: tab, flower, leaf ...

                                               or

             Add a Christmas themed embellie.

Step 8 : Add a journaling block.

                                              or

            Add a swirl. It can be made from a stamped image, chipboard, bling, a die cut or what ever else you   can think of.

Step 9 : Add one other type of embellie.

                                              or

            Add sparkle to your layout. You can use bling, Stickles, glitter etc.

Step 10 : Add a title.

                                             or

              Add a title along the edge of the circle pp.
