What kind of pictures do you take for events? Just the people and decorations or do you try to get some shots that will be "interesting for scrapbooking later"? lol

I don't really take pictures at events. Since I've started scrapbooking, I'm trying to take more, but I still miss a bunch. Cheesy

If it's my own event, I try to take pictures of everything before it starts, like cakes and decorations, but I don't get much more than that since I usually don't have my camera during the party. That's all stuff I took pictures of before, so my "I want this picture for my scrapbook" moments are the ones of the people at the party!

I usually get pictures of the people. Sometimes I will take pictures of decorations, but that is something I've only started doing since I started scrapbooking.

I try to get a mixture of both, so I get a sense of who was there and what it was for, so it's easy to tell what was being celebrated. There are so many pictures of when we were little that are just a bunch of people in the room, but you can't remember why they were there.

I like to get a mix of who (the people), what (decorations, cake, etc.) & where (house, yard, weather & I've been known to take pictures of street signs & license plates!)!  I know that I take way too many pictures, but now I can always delete on my digital Smiley & I only print the pictures that I want Smiley

I take a mix too of people and decorations. If it is at my place I'll take pictures before everyone comes of everything and then take photos of people at the party. As a hostess though I don't get a lot of opportunity to take photos. DH took several of them at the Animal Ark party. I don't know if take any with the thought of -"this would be great to scrap" but I take a lot with the thought that I'll get enough of those I want. With a digital camera you can take as many pictures as you want and use only those that you want to. Biggest Grin

I mostly take people but it would be nice to have some of the other things too, as things in the house change and it would be interesting to see that as years go by.
